On Sunday 24th September Shipley Little Theatre present Saltaire-based playwright and musician, Eddie Lawler’s, “Making Light”, an original play to celebrate the remarkable life of “Blind” Jack Metcalf in the year of his 300th birthday.

The story sees the return of the two best-known characters in Knaresborough, Blind Jack Metcalf and Mother Shipton, in Jack’s 300th year, to re-live some of the moments and achievements of his adventurous life. A rollicking horse-drawn trip taking in Harrogate, London, Scotland, Cheshire and Knaresborough itself.

Jack knows who he is and where he stands, but just who is Mother Shipton?
