May Play- Holiday Snap

Anne-Marie Ledson from Woodlands Drama Group has very kindly agreed to be the guest director for Holiday Snap by Michael Pertwee and John Chapman for us. She is a very lively, experienced all-rounder equally at home as director, actor, sound person etc. She has directed at the Carriageworks in Leeds and also in Harrogate Studio.

The synopsis:

Basically the play is a comedy set in the living room of a Portuguese time share which has been double-booked..... The short-sighted holiday rep, 'Chitto' Chittenden, likes his tipple and is quite unaware of the confusion that slowly unfolds around him as two couples Mary and Henry, and Eve and Leslie arrive to begin their holidays. Each couple mistakenly thinks the other are the local servants .... A comical cleverly written story with style!

4M 4F - varying ages

The read-through takes place on Thursday 25th March at 7.45 at the Frazer. *Anne-Marie will have audition pieces for people to take and study. Rehearsals for the play will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays with other days being selected if needed. To enable us to cast the parts quickly and start rehearsals the read-through and auditions will be open to members of Knaresborough Players and Woodlands Drama Group. This is an ideal vehicle for dramatic co-operation.
